Hi I'm Angie!
Thank you so much for visiting After Dark Boudoir. I'm a 40 something year old wife and mother of 2 who has always loved helping people and making people feel good! I am a registered nurse (labor and delivery ;)) and have truly always felt the need to make everything an enjoyable experience whether bringing babies into the world or photographing women in such a personal way.
I have been a photographer for about 12 years now and started learning about my passion for photography after nursing school and seeing how bad the photos of my kids were (that I was paying someone to take) in their respective sports. I decided I wanted to take my own and a photographer was born. Over time I have photographed a wide variety of subjects, newborns, high school seniors, families, weddings but have found a true passion with photographing boudoir. My first clients were fellow labor and delivery nurses. As nurses, we see all body shapes and sizes and it just wasn't a big deal but from that first shoot, about 10 yrs ago now, I have always wanted to do more! While my kids were still in school, I choose to keep it word of mouth only but since they have both graduated and moved on, I felt it was time to spread my wings and see how I fly!
As women, we are so hard on ourselves, and honestly each other, so each time I can photograph and woman and she feel good about how she looks, I feel so happy!!! It's a privilege to see a smile on her face or hear how happy she is when she sees her photos. I love talking about boudoir and my passion and excitement can be heard in the first talk I have with a potential client! I am excited you are here and hope that we can talk more about your wishes and expectations for a great shoot and I promise to do my best to be an encouragement, not only in your shoot, but in being a woman in this tough and sometimes cruel world!
